ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
For many experienced producers mixing a track is an innate part of the production workflow. This workshop will introduce students to workflow tips & tricks to incorporate principles of mixing and signal flow into their music production workflow intuitively, while also providing an in-depth overview of the Ableton DAW with a particular focus on the mixing tools within its samplers, instruments and audio effects.

ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST:
Brooklyn based artist, DJ and producer Swaya has spent a lifetime exploring the possibilities of storytelling and meaning making through sound. Her music synthesizes a myriad of influences from bossa nova, noise and r&b to kuduro, grime and hip hop, all molded by her penchant for emotional melody and inventive sound design. A member of the PTP collective, she has released with labels like s.M.i.l.e, PTP, TT and Ultra Rare.

Beyond her personal artistic work Swaya is also an established producer and audio engineer, currently working with Brooklyn producer Tony Seltzer at his studio Seltzer Sounds. She has worked with the likes of Eartheater, MIKE, Babyxsosa, Key!, Hawa, Zelooperz, Mercury, Lambkin, Gabe Nandez and more.
